Magdeburg (AP) - SC Magdeburg has remained unbeaten in the handball Bundesliga in the 13th game in a row.

SCM won the duel with Füchsen Berlin on Sunday 29:24 (12:11).

Lukas Mertens was the best Magdeburg shooter with six goals, Mijajlo Marsenic scored the most for the foxes with seven goals.

However, the game was overshadowed by a possibly serious shoulder injury from Magdeburg's Gisli Kristjansson (54th minute).

The hosts started with problems: In the front the SCM kept getting stuck on the defense, in the back it was not possible to fix the foxes (3: 5/9.).

Even an SCM time-out (5: 8/17.) Did not change the course of the game.

Magdeburg lacked the ideas up front, and Omar Magnusson threw away two seven meters.

It was only when the foxes made slight mistakes that the SCM took the first lead in the game just in time for the break.

After the break, the SCM cover worked better against unconcentrated foxes and Magdeburg extended the lead to four hits (17: 13/38.).

In the majority, Berlin shortened again to three goals (21: 18/49.).

In his goal to make it 24:21, Kristjansson then probably injured his shoulder more severely.

The 21-year-old Icelandic international had been out with shoulder injuries twice longer in his young career.
