Neunkirchen (dpa / lrs) - A dispute between two 22 and 24-year-old men in downtown Neunkirchen has escalated.

They threatened each other with a jackknife and a blank gun, the police said on Sunday.

In the incident on Saturday afternoon, three shots were fired, which feared residents and passers-by.

Both men were slightly injured.

According to the police, the two men started arguing on Saturday afternoon, there was shooting and the knife pulled.

The background is therefore outstanding pecuniary claims.

After the argument, the men initially left.

The 24-year-old went straight to a police station and the knife was found on him.

The 22-year-old was arrested in front of his apartment.

The alarm gun was also found in a mailbox there.

According to the police, the men clashed a few days ago.

They are now being investigated for dangerous bodily harm, violations of the weapons law, threats and insults.
