Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) - A 34-year-old man attacked several police officers in Frankfurt during his preliminary arrest during a domestic violence deployment.

According to the police, a 31-year-old police officer had to be treated as an outpatient in the hospital.

The man had therefore bitten the police officers' hands and spat in the eye of an officer.

The officers were called to an apartment in Frankfurt early on Sunday morning.

The 34-year-old was violent against his girlfriend.

According to the notification, the police expelled him from the apartment, but he had not complied with the request.

"When the forces seized him and tried to lead him out of the apartment, he tore himself free and hit them," said the police.

He also resisted the subsequent provisional arrest.

A blood sample was taken from the 34-year-old man.

He is now being investigated for domestic violence and resistance to law enforcement officers.
