Ida Svensson worked at a short-term home for the elderly when she became long-term ill in covid-19.

Almost a year after she became ill, she is still on sick leave, but already after 180 days she was insured from the sickness benefit.

- My doctor has sent a letter to the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and I have sent a personal letter to the Swedish Social Insurance Agency.

On the first of December, I received a decision that I was insured.

Before Christmas, the government changed the rules and extended the sickness benefit to 365 days, but it has not helped those who have already been insured.
