March 21, 2021 - The UK has filed a record day with 874,000 doses of the coronavirus vaccine administered.

The data for Saturday 20 March constitute a first: in practice, a dose was injected every 27 seconds.

Already on Friday 19 March the vaccination campaign had reached very high levels, with 711,156 inoculated doses.



In the country, more than half of the adult population has received at least one dose.

The effects of this effort can be seen when analyzing the data relating to deaths: today 33 deaths were recorded in total, a week ago there were 52.



In 7 days, however, the new positives increased: today 5,312 infections were recorded compared to to 4,618 on Sunday 14 March.
