Germany had planned a precise plan with intermediate steps to gradually ease the restrictions linked to the Covid-19 pandemic.

But the third wave and the development of the more infectious British variant got the better of the opening prospects presented earlier this month.

A new meeting on Monday, March 22 between Chancellor Merkel and the regions should lead to a further tightening of anti-Covid measures until April.

The modest relaxations decided at the beginning of the month, in particular the making of appointments to go to a store or visits to museums, could be called into question.

Other measures provided for in a medium-term plan such as the reopening of café terraces have a good chance of being postponed until Greek calendars.

The approaching Easter holiday has a good chance that Germans will not see a little more eagerly awaited freedom.

A new turn of the screw is foreseeable during the meeting this Monday between Chancellor Angela Merkel and the regions.

Infections are more numerous

 ;

the viral incidence rate of 100 beyond which relaxations must be questioned was exceeded this Sunday.

The restrictions will be extended until April.

In a working paper that circulated in the press, the exact date was replaced by a double XX.

The negotiations on Monday should make it possible to reach an agreement on this subject.
