China has intensified the vaccination campaign with vaccines against the emerging corona virus (Covid-19). A spokesman for the National Health Commission in China, Mi Feng, said yesterday that his country had used 74.96 million doses in the vaccination campaign with vaccines against "Covid-19" until the day before yesterday, The number of doses used in the campaign reached about 65 million doses as of March 14, indicating an increase of 10 million doses in less than a week.

This came at a time when it intensified its campaign to vaccinate 40% of its 1.4 billion people by the middle of the year.

A spokesman for the "Sinovac Biotech" company said in a press conference, yesterday, that more than 70 million doses of its vaccine have been used worldwide so far.

He did not mention the number of doses used in China.

China is considering applying preferential policies in the areas of issuing entry visas, flights, and controls regarding the numbers of people arriving in the country, based on the course of the vaccination campaign and the situation of "Covid-19" in the countries from which they come.

"We do not exempt those who have been vaccinated from the examination and isolation procedures at this time," Feng Zhejiang, deputy director of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said at the press conference.

In addition, the National Health Commission in China announced, yesterday, that it had received reports of 12 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus on the Chinese mainland within 24 hours.

The new China News Agency (Xinhua) quoted the committee as saying in its daily report that all new infections were coming from abroad.

As of yesterday, the total confirmed cases of "Corona" on the Chinese mainland had reached 90099, of which 165 were still receiving treatment.

The total number of people recovered reached 85,298, while the number of deaths stabilized at 4,636.
