Kassel (dpa) - The International Auschwitz Committee warned of the dangers to democracy after the demonstration by more than 20,000 people against Corona requirements in Kassel.
"Especially after the demonstration in Kassel it becomes clear that democracy in Germany is coming under pressure from the lateral thinker movement and its crude mixture of conspiracy theories and contempt for the state, as well as from acting together with anti-Semitic and right-wing extremist movements," said the committee's executive vice-president, Christoph Heubner , On Sunday.
The ideological obstinacy, the aggressiveness and the willingness to use violence within this movement would obviously increase.
They would be a danger to society, especially since the police obviously do not take this movement seriously enough in its bourgeois appearance and show gentleness and consideration despite legal requirements.
