A real tragedy took place in the Indre on an SNCF line.
An 18-month-old girl was killed on Saturday by a train in Déols, the Châteauroux prosecutor's office announced.
The baby died “after being hit by a train this [Saturday] morning between 10 am and 10:30 am in Deols.
The child without supervision has probably escaped the vigilance of his parents, ”said in a statement the deputy prosecutor of Châteauroux.
An investigation of flagrance, entrusted to the police station of Châteauroux, is opened to determine the exact circumstances of the death.
