With 3 words, Biden responds to a question about Putin's offer to talk to him

US President Joe Biden said Friday that he will speak to Russian President Vladimir Putin "at some point" after the Russian president suggested that they have a live chat.

"Would you agree with Vladimir Putin's offer to speak directly with you?" Asked Biden at the White House.

Biden replied, "I'm sure we'll talk at some point."

The two presidents exchanged words in recent days, which fueled tensions between Moscow and the new administration in Washington.

Russia was furious this week after Biden answered a reporter's question about whether he considered Putin a "murderer", saying he considered him as such.

The Kremlin described this as "very bad" and summoned its ambassador to Washington.

Later, Putin suggested on state television that the US leader evaluate his own flaws, wishing him "good health" in a sarcastic tone.

Putin also suggested that he hold a conversation with Biden on Friday or Monday and that it be "a direct and honest conversation, on the air", according to the Russian news agency, TASS.
