Two drivers have lost their lives tonight in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid) when a vehicle that was circulating in the opposite direction collided with another car that was traveling correctly on the A-2 (Barcelona highway), according to Emergencies 112. The deceased are the driver , and sole occupant of a garnet Nissan, 35 years old and the driver and sole occupant of a Volkswagen Passat.
The driver of the car going in the opposite direction worked as a doctor and nation in a Central American country.
The accident occurred at 10:10 p.m. when at least eight people called 112 for almost two minutes warning that a car was traveling in the opposite direction on the A2 and stuck to the concrete wall that divides both directions of traffic.
A Volkswagen Passat that was going correctly in the left lane of the highway has ended up hitting the Nissan head-on.
The blow was of such magnitude that both vehicles were separated on the road by a distance of 100 meters.
The firefighters of the Community of Madrid and Summa ambulances have come to the scene, which have only been able to certify the death of the two drivers.
The Civil Guard investigates the accident.
