Klingenthal (AP) - The Norwegian Jarl Magnus Riiber is about to win his third triumph in the overall Nordic Combined World Cup.

Riiber jumped 143 meters in Klingenthal on Saturday morning and is the leader in the ten-kilometer run in the afternoon (2.45 p.m. / ARD and Eurosport 2).

In the overall World Cup, the 23-year-old yellow bearer (940 points) has a clear lead over the two remaining singles over the German Vinzenz Geiger (754), who only starts from 21st place on the trail after a weak jump.

The most promising Germans are Manuel Faißt (6th), Terence Weber (10th) and Johannes Rydzek (13th).

The Japanese Ryota Yamamoto provided a highlight, beating the hill record of special jumper Michael Uhrmann with 149 meters.

Because of poor posture he was third behind Riiber and Akito Watabe from Japan.
