4-M. Pablo Iglesias's plan for Madrid
IU Madrid has ratified the agreement with Podemos Comunidad de Madrid to
jointly attend the next regional elections on May 4
, which gives it the deputy spokesperson of the future parliamentary group in the
Madrid Assembly
and second place in the future list of the coalition.
The formation has held its highest body this afternoon between Assemblies to deal, in a monographic way, the process of regional elections with an
agreement in terms very similar to the one reached in 2019
, when the regional candidacy of United We Can was articulated.
And it is that this Sunday the coalitions that will present themselves to these elections must be presented.
In this meeting, with the
participation of 100 people,
including members of the body and representatives of the Assemblies, IU Madrid has decided that it is time to "collaborate in a responsible manner" between both organizations and "put the interests of the Madrid social majority above of those of political organizations ".

CONTENT OF THE PRE-AGREEMENT
Specifically, the pre-agreement establishes that IU Madrid will have positions 2, 6, 11, 13, 16 and 20. From that threshold, IU Madrid
will have a representative in each section of three and Podemos with two

Regarding the future parliamentary group, Podemos will hold the Spokesperson and IU Madrid with the Deputy Spokesperson.
Likewise, IU Madrid will designate the member of the Assembly Table who could obtain the training.
As for the Presidency and the General Secretary of the Parliamentary group, IU Madrid will have one of the two positions and Podemos the other.
Regarding the economic resources of the parliamentary group,
IU Madrid will have 35% of them
and of the different institutional representations to which the candidacy is entitled, a percentage that will also be applied to the distribution of electoral subsidies and financing of political parties , "present and future".
It also rules that the representatives by coalition or the parliamentary group in public entities (except
Radio Televisión Madrid
), organs of public companies, and foundations and patronages, as well as in the Madrid Federation of Municipalities, a 35% representation will be applied for IU Madrid and 65% for Podemos Community of Madrid.
If there are not enough representatives so that 35% can be applied in each body, distribution formulas that guarantee that proportion will be studied.
Likewise, Podemos would obtain the first autonomous designation senator while IU would hold the second, while IU would appoint the representative on the
