In St. Petersburg, a man was detained for injuring a police officer

As noted, on March 19, in the Nevsky district of St. Petersburg, police officers detained a 53-year-old citizen of Azerbaijan for violating migration legislation.  

“When placed in a room for administrative detainees, the offender resisted and injured a police officer,” TASS reports.

A criminal case was initiated against the detainee under Articles 318 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Use of violence against a representative of the authorities") and 319 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Insulting a representative of the authorities").

Earlier in St. Petersburg, a drunk driver was detained who hit a police officer.
