Guy-Brice Parfait Kolélas appeared weakened during his campaign meetings this week.

His entourage then spoke of an acute malaria crisis.

On Friday, he was even absent from his closing meeting, forced to be hospitalized in a private clinic in Brazzaville.

And so it is there that he was diagnosed Friday afternoon with Covid-19 according to Cyr Mayanda his campaign director.

In a video circulating this evening on social networks, and whose authenticity this same source confirms to RFI, the opponent appears on his hospital bed.

He is assisted by a respirator which he removes from his mouth to say a few words: "

I am in difficulty, I am fighting against death

...", he said, before calling on the Congolese to go to the polls this Sunday.

From concordant sources, it is question that Guy-Brice Parfait Kolélas will be evacuated this Saturday evening to France to be treated there.

No confirmation or official reaction from the Congolese authorities for the moment.
