Biden says Harris is smarter than him

The words of the American leader are quoted on the White House website.

The head of state made a speech and thanked the staff, and later noted that he should have immediately given the floor to Harris.

“I shouldn't have done that because I wanted to give the floor to my vice president, who is smarter than me,” Biden said.

In response, the vice president jokingly noted that "there is not much to add here."

Earlier, Biden mistakenly named Harris the head of state.
