Xinhua News Agency, Riyadh, March 19 (Reporter Tu Yifan) Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy issued a statement on the 19th that a drone attack on an oil refinery in the country’s capital Riyadh that day caused a small fire but did not cause casualties.

  The statement said that the attack occurred around 6:05 local time and the fire was subsequently brought under control.

The attack caused no casualties, nor did it affect the oil supply to the facility.

  According to the Saudi Ministry of Energy, this type of terrorism and sabotage against important facilities and civilian targets is not only directed at Saudi Arabia, but is also intended to affect the security and stability of global energy supply and the world economy.

The Saudi Ministry of Energy calls on the international community to take a unified stand against such terrorist attacks.

  On March 7, two oil facilities in eastern Saudi Arabia were attacked by drones and ballistic missiles, but no casualties or property losses were caused.
