Lautertal (dpa / lby) - An overturned truck caused an hour-long blockage on Autobahn 73 in Lautertal near Coburg.
The truck and trailer skid on the slippery road surface and then tilted on its side, the police said.
The 57-year-old driver had to be freed from the wreck by the police.
He suffered a laceration on his head and several cuts.
Because of the salvage work, the A73 had to be closed to the north between the Coburg and Eisfeld-Süd exits.
The blockage could only be lifted after seven hours on Saturday night.
The police estimate the property damage at around 100,000 euros.
