Leipzig (dpa / sn) - A driver was killed in a rear-end collision on Autobahn 14 near Leipzig.
According to initial findings, his car crashed into the rear of a tow truck at high speed on the slippery snowy road, the police said.
He came off the road with his car.
His 59-year-old passenger was seriously injured.
The tow truck hit the guardrail and lost a loaded car.
For the clean-up work, the A14 was closed for more than six hours on Friday evening between the Leipzig-Mitte and Leipzig-Nord junctions in the west direction.
