Danny Yu Chang, an American of Chinese descent, is still in shock.

His face swollen, it is impossible for him to open his right eye.

On Monday, this man was violently assaulted in the middle of the street in downtown San Francisco: “

I am traumatized after what happened to me.

I did not expect this.

 "

This travel agent was taking his lunch break when suddenly a stranger punched and kicked him in the face for no reason.

59 years old, he lost consciousness.

Today, Danny Yu Chang is convinced he was targeted because he is Asian.

“

It's clear, this is a hate-motivated attack.

Nothing was stolen from me.

When I woke up, I still had everything on me.

 "

"It's all because of Trump"

In the United States, assaults against Asians are on the rise.

The organization Stop Asian American Hate has identified more than 3,000 since the start of the pandemic.

In question, according to Danny Yu Chang, the

rhetoric of the former president Donald Trump

: “

It is all because of Trump.

It was he who started with his Chinese virus story!

He kept repeating in the media that the Covid-19 started in China.

It got into people's minds eventually and that's how people started to hate Asians here.

"

Danny Yu Chang immigrated to the United States in 1999 to find work.

Since his assault, he has been considering leaving California.
