Hanover (dpa / lni) - In the process of killing a 42-year-old on a country road, the pleadings and possibly the verdict are expected on Friday.
The woman's former partner is indicted at the Hanover Regional Court.
The 60-year-old from Bad Pyrmont is said to have slowed his ex-girlfriend in his car on a country road in August 2020.
The Pole is accused of stabbing the fleeing woman several times with a knife.
She had previously sought refuge in a women's shelter because of domestic violence.
At the start of the trial, the defendant cited gaps in his memory because he had drunk a lot of alcohol.
He was arrested at his home shortly after the crime.
The officers found blood-smeared clothing there.
The couple met in 2018 when they both worked as Polish contract workers in the same meat factory.
