Hanover (dpa / lni) - In Lower Saxony, the number of new corona infections has risen significantly again - by 1580 compared to the previous day.
The incidence on Friday was 90.2 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days, according to the data from the State Health Office.
In 13 regions now, the critical value was above the 100 mark - this means that any easing in these municipalities must be stopped.
The seven-day incidence was still highest in the city of Salzgitter (222.5), followed by the district of Cloppenburg (221.5), the district of Peine (174.3) and the city of Osnabrück (159.2).
A total of 4694 people have died from or with the corona virus in Lower Saxony so far.
Compared to the previous day, this is an increase of 24 deaths.
89.5 percent of the total of 181 569 demonstrably corona infected are now considered to have recovered.
