Several environmental organizations and networks in Karlstad have joined forces and called for the cone protest, which takes place both digitally and with real cones in the square on Friday afternoon.
The idea is that the cones will later be handed over to the city planning committee in Karlstad.

In 2015, Olav Thongruppen applied for permission to build a retail area for retail and non-retail shopping on Månsberget right next to Bergvik shopping center.
The question divides Karlstad's politicians.
S, V and MP have opposed the exploitation of the area, while, M, C, L, KD and SD are positive.
In May, the issue will be up for decision in the city planning committee.
