Munich (dpa / lby) - IG Metall called on employees in 94 companies in Bavaria to go on warning strikes on Friday.

District manager Johann Horn said: “On Friday we will experience a new high point of the warning strikes in Bavaria.

Tens of thousands of employees will send an unmistakable signal to employers. "

As the number of warning strikes increases, so do their duration: “In Schweinfurt, for example, all shifts at ZF, SKF, Schaeffler and Bosch Rexroth finish their work three hours earlier.

In Nuremberg, the late and night shift will be completely canceled in many companies, ”said the union.

At Audi in Ingolstadt, the night shift ends early on Friday, and at BMW there will be warning strikes in the plants in Dingolfing and Landshut.

IG Metall demands four percent more wages or a corresponding reduction in working hours for companies in crisis.

Employers are offering a zero round in 2021 and wage increases that have not yet been quantified in 2022. In addition, they want to be able to automatically move away from the collective agreement in the event of poor business figures.

After the unsuccessful fourth round of negotiations, a new date is still pending.
