Frankfurt / Königstein (dpa / lhe) - A mobile corona test center was put into operation for Hesse's schools on Friday.
In the event of an outbreak of disease, teachers and students should be able to be tested for Covid-19 as quickly as possible on site.
The portable laboratory can be used at any school in the country within 24 hours and can be requested from the health authorities, as announced by the Ministry of Education and the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KVH).
So-called PoC and PCR rapid tests are offered.
"For safe and reliable school operations, schools need clarity quickly if there is a suspicion of infection," said Minister of Education Alexander Lorz (CDU) at the presentation of the test mobile in Koenigstein (Hochtaunuskreis).
If there is an outbreak at a school, the most important thing is the speed at which students, teachers and staff could be tested.
According to the information, the mobile laboratory complements “the country’s test strategy with the very successfully conducted unprompted teacher tests”.
