Nationwide, the incidence was 95.6.

Corona hotspot in Saxony remains the Vogtlandkreis with a new infection rate of 358.9.

This is the second highest value nationwide after the neighboring district of Greiz in Thuringia.

In Saxony, only five of the 13 regions are below the critical limit of 100.

If the incidence is over 100 on five working days in a row, schools and day-care centers in Saxony have to close again.

On Thursday, the Ministry of Culture and Health announced that this would be the case in the districts of Zwickau, North Saxony and the Ore Mountains from Monday.

The regulation was still open for the district of Meissen.

There the RKI put the incidence on Friday at 136.1.
