Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - Almost three months before the state elections in Saxony-Anhalt, the CDU wants to present its topics for the upcoming election campaign.

At an online press conference on Friday (12:00 p.m.), Prime Minister and CDU top candidate Reiner Haseloff, Deputy Head of State André Schröder and Secretary General Sven Schulze will explain the draft of the Christian Democrats' government program for the coming election period.

At a party congress in February, Haseloff was again elected the top candidate with 95 percent.

The 67-year-old has ruled Saxony-Anhalt for ten years: initially in a coalition with the SPD, since 2016 in a three-way alliance with the SPD and the Greens.

A continuation of the so-called Kenya coalition is considered likely after the election.

Haseloff ruled out a collaboration with the AfD and the left, for other constellations, including those outside the CDU, there is no majority in Saxony-Anhalt according to the latest surveys.
