Potsdam (dpa / bb) - The return to the corona lockdown in Brandenburg in regional hotspots is a done deal.

The cabinet formally decided on Friday that many shops and museums would have to close again in the event of high numbers of corona infections.

Government spokesman Florian Engels said there had been no changes compared to Thursday's draft.

The emergency brake applies when the seven-day incidence in rural districts or urban districts is over 100 for three consecutive days.

So far, this emergency brake applied to a value over 200. Private meetings are then only possible for one household and one additional person.

Supermarkets and other shops for daily needs will remain open, as will hardware stores.

Three districts are more than three days above the value of 100, one district and one city since Wednesday.
