Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - IG Metall continues to exert pressure on employers in the metal and electrical industry in the southwest.

On Friday, over 7,700 people from around 45 companies took part in warning strikes.

District manager Roman Zitzelsberger said in Stuttgart: "We want a good and quick conclusion, but good comes quickly."

Porsche and Daimler employees used to go home.

Employees from Mahle Behr and Bosch Rexroth also took part in the protests.

At the end of the third week of the warning strike, a total of almost 155,500 men and women had taken part in the union's previous actions.

They will continue next week because the fourth round of collective bargaining on Tuesday did not bring any progress either.

Due to the corona situation, there will again be predominantly so-called early closing actions in the companies.

IG Metall is demanding, among other things, four percent more money - either in the form of wage increases or as at least partial compensation if a company reduces working hours in a crisis.

The employers' association Südwestmetall rejects this and instead calls for special collectively agreed benefits to be cut.

The union does not want to go along with that.
