Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - After a shot at a 49-year-old in Düsseldorf, the murder commission caught the alleged shooter.
A 29-year-old is in custody, the police and prosecutors announced on Friday.
The investigators assume that the victim and the suspect know each other.
The 29-year-old lives in Düsseldorf.
The investigators did not provide any information on nationality.
In addition, three other people are being investigated because of a possible involvement in the crime, it said.
The 49-year-old was shot and seriously injured on Thursday night.
According to early police reports, he had got off a tram when he noticed that he was being followed by several men.
An argument broke out in the course of which one of the group pulled a gun and shot.
Then the group ran away.
