The Prime Minister, Jean Castex, announced this Thursday evening, new measures to try to slow down the "third wave" of the Covid-19 epidemic.

"The circulation of the epidemic is accelerating sharply, […] the situation is deteriorating and our responsibility is that it does not escape us," he said.

To cope with this "resumption of viral circulation", the Prime Minister thus decided to confine the Ile-de-France from Friday evening midnight for four weeks, deeming insufficient the option of containment on weekends.

Jean Castex called for strengthening teleworking in all companies and administrations.

In a hypermarket, some departments considered essential will remain open, but those selling non-essential products will no longer be accessible.
