According to the website of the Chinese Consulate General in Osaka, on March 17, 2021, the Chinese Consulate General in Osaka cooperated with the National Notary Office of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province to successfully complete the first transnational remote video notarization pilot. Worked for a Chinese citizen residing in Japan to handle the notarization of remote video commission.

Officials from the Department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chinese Consulate-General in Osaka, the Public Legal Service Administration of the Ministry of Justice, the Chinese Notary Association, Zhejiang Province and other relevant departments conducted online guidance and observation through videos.

  This is another major innovative service measure implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and embassies and consulates abroad, implementing the people-centered concept and relying on the "Internet + consulate".

On the basis of pilot projects, the Consulate General will strive to provide a more high-quality and considerate service experience for the majority of overseas Chinese citizens.

Acting Consul General Zhang Yuping stated that the innovative method of remote video notarization is the concrete practice of implementing the guiding ideology of "Diplomacy for the People" and administering according to law under the guidance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The whole process is rigorous and thorough, showing the power of science and technology in consular work in the new era.

The Consulate General in Osaka will work closely with the country to continuously improve relevant procedures to serve overseas Chinese citizens with a higher quality and higher level, and to do good and good deeds.
