Waldshut-Tiengen (dpa / lsw) - A failed attempt to dye hair has caused a stir in the Waldshut district.
As the police announced on Thursday, a man who was intoxicated tried in vain to dye his hair red.
When passers-by spotted the 26-year-old man in Waldshut-Tiengen shortly before midnight on Wednesday, they mistook the red viscous substance on his head and upper body for blood and alerted the police.
"After closer inspection and after two packs of a hair dye were found on the man, it was clear that the whole thing was due to an unsuitable hair dye attempt," it says in a message.
As a precaution, the man who may also be drugged had been medically examined.
As a police spokesman said, they wanted to rule out that the man had swallowed hair dye.
