Zwickau (dpa / sn) - IG Metall has continued the warning strikes in the metal and electrical industry in Saxony.

According to the union, around 9,500 employees at Volkswagen and the supplier Radsystem Mosel took part in an “early closing campaign” by Thursday morning.

At Bosch in Sebnitz, around 100 of the 450 employees temporarily stopped working.

Employees at Thyssenkrupp in Chemnitz and Porsche in Leipzig were also called to go on warning strikes.

The union criticizes that employers have shown no movement in the three rounds of negotiations so far.

There have been warning strikes nationwide for three weeks.

IG Metall is demanding, among other things, four percent more money for twelve months, which can optionally be used to secure employment.

The current collective bargaining dispute in Saxony is primarily about around 27,000 employees in companies bound by collective bargaining agreements.

The metal and electrical industry in Bavaria has a total of around 190,000 employees.
