Bad Kreuznach (dpa / lrs) - One day before the deliberations of the Rhineland-Palatinate Corona Cabinet, the chambers of industry and commerce presented an opening plan for the hotel and catering industry.

From this Monday, outdoor catering should be allowed again, from March 29th - before Easter - indoor catering and private overnight stays could then follow as the next opening step, demanded the four chambers of industry and commerce (IHK) in Rhineland- Palatinate in a joint statement on Thursday.

Strict hygiene rules and requirements should apply to all of the proposals, such as booking an appointment in advance or limiting the number of people to two households and a maximum of five people.

As long as the incidence value is below 100, no corona test should be necessary for visiting beer gardens or terraces.

It is different in the interior of restaurants or for overnight stays: According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a quick test or self-test that is no more than 48 hours old should be submitted.

"If vacation on Mallorca is possible again, this must also apply to Rhineland-Palatinate," said Arne Rössel, spokesman for the Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Industry and Commerce and chief executive officer of the Koblenz Chamber of Commerce.
