Limburg (dpa / lhe) - The drunk driver of a gin transport drove slowly with his truck in a serpentine way over the A3 near Limburg on Thursday.
A witness observed how the 58-year-old stopped in the meantime on the hard shoulder to relieve himself, the police said.
A patrol finally stopped the driver and measured 2.63 per mil.
There was no gin next to the driver's seat, but an empty vodka.
Since the driver was also no longer good on his feet, he had to go to the station first.
A colleague now has to pick up the load of 750 bottles of gin.
