Prime Minister Jean Castex announced a new four-week confinement from Friday for sixteen departments, including Paris and its region, in the face of the progression of the Covid-19 epidemic.

In addition to the Ile de France, the following are concerned: Hauts-de-France, and the departments of Alpes-Maritimes, Seine-Maritime and Eure.

In the rest of the country, the curfew is delayed to 7:00 p.m.

In the 16 departments, non-essential shops and departments will have to remain closed from Saturday.

The outings, not limited in time, must be done within a radius of 10 km around the home with certificate.

The government also insists on the need to telework at least 4 days a week.

These measures are taken for "at least 4 weeks", could be extended "to other parts of the territory", specified the Prime Minister.

"It is a third way that we retain, a way which should allow braking without locking up", insisted Jean Castex.
