The Chinese Embassy in Pakistan and the Embassy in Finland also stated that for applicants who meet the relevant conditions, there is no need to provide an invitation letter issued by the Chinese provincial foreign affairs or commerce department.

Applicable people are foreign family members of Chinese citizens or permanent residents, including spouses, parents, children and other close relatives living together (referring to siblings, grandparents, grandparents, grandchildren, and grandchildren).

The reasons for going to China include family reunion, support, visiting relatives, going to China for funerals or visiting critically ill relatives.
