A large police force was mobilized on Sunday, around Roanne (Loire), after the disappearance in the afternoon of an 11-year-old girl.

The parents of the child, who suffers from an intellectual disability, had reported her disappearance, while she was playing near her home.

The geolocation of the girl's cell phone and the use of video surveillance allowed the judicial police and a dog team to find her, at 1:20 am in the night from Sunday to Monday, several kilometers away, in a room hotel in Coteau, a town next to the Loire.

She was with a 19-year-old Nigerian, who was indicted Tuesday in Roanne for "kidnapping, forcible confinement and sexual assault" on the girl, as indicated by the Roanne public prosecutor, Abdelkrim Grini, who requested the detention of the suspect.

The latter would have approached the victim in the district of Roanne station, before taking him to this hotel, said the prosecution.

Medical analyzes have established that the girl, found partly naked on a bed, had not been raped.

However, she told investigators that she was forcibly kissed and touched, according to the prosecutor.
