Rivlin arrived in Berlin today, starting a tour that will last until Thursday, which also includes France and Austria, and is accompanied by the Chief of the Army Staff, Aviv Kochavi, at the request of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

And Netanyahu had assigned them the task of trying to convince the leaders of those countries of the Israeli position on the US returning to work under the nuclear agreement with Iran.

"President Rivlin left on a short visit to Europe, to hold meetings on the dangers of the rising Hezbollah force, the intensification of the Iranian nuclear project and the International Criminal Court, and the president is accompanied by the Israeli Chief of Staff, Aviv Kochavi, who will inform the European presidents about security matters ".

Rivlin considered this visit "extremely important" at this time;

Where Europe shows an exceptional commitment to the security of Israel and the preservation of the stability of the Middle East, according to his description.

He added that there is hope for strengthening moderate voices in the region. As for "extremist voices, especially Iran, they threaten to undermine this stability," stressing the need for the international community to confront "Iran's nuclear plans and its support for terrorist organizations that threaten Israel and regional security."

Rivlin indicated that the agenda for this trip also includes the decision of the International Criminal Court to open an investigation into Israeli crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories, expressing his confidence that European friends will stand with Israel in this case.

Rivlin began his tour, today, with a working meeting with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, then with Foreign Minister Heiko Maas, and he leaves tomorrow for Vienna to meet with Austrian President Alexander van der Beilen, and then moves on Thursday to Paris to meet French President Emmanuel Macron.
