Cologne (dpa) - After a positive Corona test in the functional team, Bundesliga soccer club 1. FC Cologne canceled its team training on Wednesday.

The club announced that this was done as a precaution and proactively in coordination with the Cologne health department.

The entire staff and players were tested again on Wednesday morning.

All the results of the rapid tests remained negative.

A PCR test is planned for Thursday.

Should this series of tests also turn out negative, the team of coach Markus Gisdol can then resume team training after consultation with the authorities.

Next Saturday the game against Borussia Dortmund (3:30 p.m.) is on the program for Cologne in the Bundesliga.
