The risk of becoming seriously ill and dying from covid-19 has been shown to be higher for people with poorer socio-economic conditions.

In Stockholm County, the risk factors can be linked to specific municipalities and districts, and these areas have therefore been prioritized in the order of vaccination against covid-19.

- I am very grateful that our area has been prioritized, says Danixa Engman, vaccination manager at Capio Vårdcentral Vårberg.

Top: Salem, Skärholmen, Spånga-Tensta

The Stockholm region does not have figures on how many doses have been assigned to each area, but statistics on how many percent of all 80-plus people who have started vaccination show that the districts with vulnerable areas are high.

In Skärholmen, 68.6 percent have started the vaccination, which can be compared with Östermalm where only 33.5 percent of the 80-plus have received their first dose (statistics from 16/3).

In Spånga-Tensta, 74.9 per cent have received the first dose, and a high proportion have also received their second dose (24.3 per cent).

The highest proportion of people over 80 who have started vaccination among other municipalities is in Salem - with 85.5 percent.

The stop of Astra Zeneca does not affect

In the priority areas, only Pfizer-BioNTecs and Moderna's vaccines have been used.

The temporary stop of Astra Zeneca's vaccine should therefore not affect the rate of vaccination, but how the distribution in the region may be affected if the stop continues for a long time is unclear.

Lowest vaccination rate

In the rest of the county, Nykvarn stands out, where only 25.7 percent of the elderly over 80 have started vaccination.

Täby, Vallentuna, Österåker, Järfälla are also below 30 percent.
