Schwerin (dpa / mv) - In the process of years of sexual abuse of two girls, the Schwerin district court is to announce a verdict today.
The 49-year-old defendant from the Ludwigslust-Parchim district had confessed to having coerced his two nieces into sexual acts in 28 cases between 2008 and 2012 when they visited him at his apartment on the weekends.
The children were seven and eleven years old at the start of the alleged offenses.
In their plea, the public prosecutor's office demanded a prison sentence of three years and eleven months for the accused.
The defense attorney considered three years and six months to be appropriate.
