The president of Ile-de-France Valérie Pécresse told Jean Castex and Olivier Véran on Wednesday that she would favor weekend confinement to total confinement, on condition of having "a real acceleration on vaccination", his entourage told AFP.

Contacted Wednesday afternoon, Ms. Pécresse told the Prime Minister and the Minister of Health that "confinement during the weekend is certainly painful, but less than total confinement", and asked the executive for "visibility ", underlined a relative.

But if such a decision was taken, and announced Thursday, she pleaded for "rigorous support measures for traders" and "a real acceleration of vaccination", while Ile-de-France is "below of the national average "in this regard, we added from the same source.

Previously, Ms. Pécresse had "deplored" not to have been invited to the "trip to Poissy", in Yvelines, Emmanuel Macron.

"I expect that, out of Republican courtesy, the President of the Republic invites the president of the region, the president of the mayors, to a very broad consultation" on the new measures envisaged in Ile-de-France, had declared the former minister ex-LR and potential candidate for the Elysee, to journalists during a trip to Essonne.

Emmanuel Macron visited the Poissy / Saint-Germain-en Laye hospital center (Yvelines) on Wednesday afternoon after a health defense council where additional measures were decided, applicable from this weekend in Ile-de-France, which will be announced Thursday.

The Head of State then met with mayors from several regions, at the town hall of Poissy, around Karl Olive (DVD).

At the end of this meeting by video, the latter reported to journalists, including AFP, that Macron insisted that "it will hit hard until mid-April", at which time the executive still aims to have vaccinated 10 million French people.

The mayor of Paris, another potential presidential candidate, Anne Hidalgo, spoke from Douai (North), where she launched a platform for reflection, the postponement to Thursday of a meeting initially scheduled for Tuesday "with the police prefect, prefect of region ARS (regional health agency) ".

"At this point, I haven't had any calls or even any information," she added.

The socialist councilor pleaded for an "implementation" of the "differentiated" health policy, which "cannot be done without trust and dialogue" between the prefect, the mayors and local elected officials.

"This confidence, it is not sufficiently worked today", she regretted.
