Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The exploratory talks of the Greens in Baden-Württemberg with the CDU as well as the SPD and FDP will go into the next round at the end of next week.

On Wednesday evening in Stuttgart, the liberals were confident that a traffic light coalition with the Greens and the SPD would come about.

"There were no irreconcilable differences," said FDP parliamentary group leader Hans-Ulrich Rülke after talking to Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann and the Green Party.

Neither thematically nor atmospherically had problems arose, said Rülke.

Before the FDP, the CDU and SPD had spoken to the Greens one after the other.

After the debacle in the state elections, the Union wants to continue the green-black coalition.

Initially, the Liberals were the only ones to speak out publicly after the exploratory talks.
