The European Commission threatened on Wednesday to tighten the conditions for exporting the anti-Covid vaccines produced there outside the EU, as part of the control mechanism instituted at the end of January, while the continent suffers from significant delays in the delivery of laboratories.
“We export a lot of vaccines to countries that produce them themselves.
It is an invitation for them to be open ”to sending vaccines to the EU, said EU Executive President Ursula von der Leyen.
"We are ready for all options to ensure that Europe receives its fair share," she added, pointing to the UK.
According to her, the EU has exported over the past six weeks some 41 million doses to 33 countries.
