Los Angeles (AP) - Singer Demi Lovato spoke in detail about the night of her overdose in 2018.

In an interview with the “New York Times” she said that she “woke up blind in an intensive care unit”.

It took about two months before she regained enough eyesight to read a book, said the 28-year-old singer.

"It was interesting how quickly I adapted," said Lovato.

“I didn't take my time to be really sad about it.

I just thought: How do I get it back? "

To this day, the singer lives with a visual impairment as a result of a heart attack after the overdose.

This is what the Hollywood Reporter magazine reported after the premiere of the first episode of a new YouTube documentary about Lovato.

"Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil" is Lovato's third documentary about her life.

The first episode will be published on March 23 on their YouTube channel.

The singer is open about her drug history and has already spoken about very personal things in the MTV documentary “Demi Lovato: Stay Strong” in 2012 and in the YouTube episode “Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated” in 2017.
