Paris SG, holding the Coupe de France, qualified for the quarterfinals of the 2021 edition by taming Lille 3-0 in an advanced round of 16 match on Wednesday at the Parc des Princes, with a double from Kylian Mbappé.
At home, the Parisian club took the ascendancy thanks to an opportunistic goal from the Argentinian Mauro Icardi (9th), left injured shortly after and replaced by Mbappé, who caused and transformed the penalty of 2-0 (42nd), then sealed the score against (90th + 3).
Parisian goalkeeper Keylor Navas stopped a penalty from Yusuf Yazici at the end of the match (78th), helping PSG to remain in contention on three tables this season with Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
