Klingenthal (dpa) - The German Nordic combined athletes will go into the season finale in Klingenthal at home with the best line-up.

In the last two singles, Vinzenz Geiger, Eric Frenzel, Fabian Rießle and Johannes Rydzek are all four team Olympic champions, announced the German Ski Association (DSV) on Wednesday.

Although the overall World Cup has been awarded to the Norwegian Jarl Magnus Riiber, national coach Hermann Weinbuch still set goals for the last winter weekend.

“We still have a few goals to achieve: after three years we want to win the national championship again, so we're ahead and want to close the bag.

To beat Norway again would be a huge success, which shows how positively we have developed », said Weinbuch.

The first Riiber pursuer Geiger should also defend his second place in the overall World Cup.

Because of the lack of snow in the Black Forest, Klingenthal steps in for Schonach as the venue.
