San Benedetto del Tronto (dpa) - Tour de France champion Tadej Pogacar has already won his second bike tour this year.
With a fourth place in the final individual time trial over 10.1 kilometers in San Benedetto del Tronto, the 22-year-old Slovenian could not be deprived of the overall victory at the 56th edition of Tirreno-Adriatico.
Pogacar was 1:03 minutes ahead of Belgian World Cup runner-up Wout van Aert, who won the time trial.
In the fight against the clock, van Aert prevailed in 11:06 minutes with five seconds ahead of the Swiss European time trial champion Stefan Küng.
Pogacar, who recently won the UAE Tour, was twelve seconds slower than van Aert.
